When she goes to her kindergarten orientation, Bonnie makes a new toy called Forky (Tony Hale) who goes through a sort of existential crisis. LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)

LEGO Movie 2 is the sequel to the LEGO Movie which now finds Emmett (Chris Pratt) and his friends living in a dystopian, apocalyptic world as the boy’s sister is now allowed to play with LEGO’S and takes over. Once Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) and his friends are taken, it is up to Emmet to save them, but what he doesn’t know is that he may end up hurting his friends more than helping them.

LEGO Movie 2 is a fun, enjoyable, family film. However, it’s not as smart or inventive as it’s predecessor. The voice cast is great again in their roles, I enjoyed Chris Pratt in his other role as Rex Dangervest and Tiffany Haddish as the Queen. I was also surprised about how much I enjoyed some of the original songs in the film, especially the end credits song.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse surrounds Miles Morales, a teenager who gets bitten by a radioactive spider, he stumbles on the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker, who is in the midst of fighting against Kingpin who opens up a collider to different dimensions that allowed various spider people including Spider-Gwen, Spider-Noir, and Spider-Ham to come into his dimension. Now everyone must try to get back to their dimension before reality collapses onto itself.

Into the Spider-Verse is an utter delight. It’s nice to see an origin of a story we’ve seen a million times before, but through a different perspective. Miles is a worthy Spider-Man and I’m glad that more people will know his name because of this film. The voice cast gathered for this film is amazing. Shameik Moore is a stand out as Miles. I can’t think of a better person than Jake Johnson to play a middle aged, worn out Peter Parker. Nic Cage was amazing as Spider-Noir, and as a huge fan of John Mulaney myself, he totally encompasses Spider-Ham’s persona, though I wish there was more of him.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is the sequel to Wreck It Ralph and surrounds Ralph and Venellope as the travel to and try to navigate the internet to find a piece for Venellope’s game so that her game isn’t scrapped.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is a worthy sequel that really puts Ralph and Venellope’s friendship at the forefront. It may not be as good as its predecessor, but it was still really enjoyable, especially to those who are internet savvy.

Incredibles 2 (2018)

Incredibles 2 picks up immediately after its predecessor, with the Parr family fighting crime. Superheroes are still illegal though, so in an effort to legalize superheroes, Elastigirl is now in the spotlight leaving Mr. Incredible to stay home with his kids, Violet, Dash, and Jack Jack, who are all going through some sort of trouble.

It took 14 years for everyone to get Incredibles 2 and its a worthy sequel. The animation is beautiful as always when it comes to Pixar. And I was very impressed with a lot of action sequences involving Elastigirl. Kudos to director Brad Bird for still coming up with inventive ways to showcase superpowers.
