Shazam! revolves around Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who is recently put in a foster home. He  wants nothing more than to find his birth mother, but after defending his disabled foster brother named Freddie (Jack Dylan Grazer) he finds himself becoming a superhero and a superhero that looks to be in his 30s at that (played by Zachary Levi).

Aquaman (2018)

Aquaman revolves around Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) as Mera (Amber Heard) recruits him to become the king of Atlantis and to stop his half-brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson), from uniting the seven seas to wage war on the surface.

Director, James Wan, previously known for horror films such as The Conjuring and Insidious brings a lighthearted, but conventional superhero flick to life. He was able to create amazing visuals which I think is the film’s greatest strength.

Wonder Woman (2017)

Given my previous review of Professor Marston and the Wonder Woman, I thought that it would only be fitting to pair the giant female superhero blockbuster with the people that inspired her.

Wonder Woman revolves around Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), the Princess of Themyscira, who lives on an isolated island away from mankind with Amazon warriors, all of whom are women. When Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crash lands on the island, he alerts the Amazons of the war going on in the outside world, Diana believes that the Greek god of War, Ares, who her mother has always warned her about is behind World War I and joins Steve Trevor to the land of men in order to stop Ares once and for all.
